The radon gas arise from the slow disintegration of soil and water uranium. The radon concentration rate in air inside the house is mainly depending of 4 factors :

• Uranium rate in the soil. As show the European map of the radon home presence, the natural rate is not the same in all living places.

• Crack in the building groundwork and the permeability of cellar floor. The radon gas coming from the soil and go through crack and permeable concrete to take hold the house. AYKOW designed a solution to ventilate automatically the cellar in case of radon presence.

• Penetration watercourse rates. The radon gas is strongly water soluble. Thus, it come inside building thanks to the piping. In consequence, in the water room the radon gas concentration is higher than others. AYKOW has developed a water room detector to switch on the home ventilation in case of radon presence.

• The natural flow circulation with outside. More the air is changed inside home, less radon could be accrued. However, that's during the cold period, when windows are close, the radon discharge more in the house. The heat inside home make an aspiration force from the soil and fill quickly the house by this dangerous gas. That's in this aim AYKOW has design a radon detector similar to the smoke detector to warm the necessity to change the home air.

Today, the radon solution are too expensive. they chiefly reduce the building porosity or propose a permanent ventilation whom don't save our energy.
